LONDON (Alliance News) - PuriCore PLC on Thursday said it has appointed Christian Peters to the newly-created role of chief medical officer, effective from April 25.
The biopharmaceutical company said the appointment reflects the development of investigational new drug applications for its small molecule therapies in inflammatory diseases.
Peters was previously CMO at medical company Therakos Inc. He has 15 years of clinical development and commercialisation experience in a number of senior leadership positions in the pharmaceutical industry, and more than 10 years of clinical and research experience in academic settings and with the National Institutes of Health.
"We are delighted to welcome Dr. Peters to PuriCore. Christian's extensive clinical development expertise and significant research and commercialisation experience in immunology and immunomodulatory therapies adds a high calibre of talent and depth to our current leadership team. He will play a key role in helping us to advance our product candidates into clinical stage development," Chief Executive Alex Martin said in a statement.
Shares in PuriCore were untraded on Thursday, last traded at 25.00 pence.
