LONDON (Alliance News) - Pure Wafer PLC on Wednesday said it will book a USD15.3 million charge this year related to the fire which hit its wafer reclaim facility in Swansea in December.
The company, which provides silicon wafer reclaim services to semiconductor companies, said it will book the charge in its full-year results for 2014.
The group reiterated that full-scale production at the Swansea site is unlikely to recommence until 2016.
It said its facility in Arizona is currently undergoing a qualification process with a number of its Swansea customers, which will allow some of the Swansea production to be transferred there. It expects this process to start in May.
Shares in Pure Wafer were down 1.2% to 40.00 pence on Wednesday.
