LONDON (Alliance News) - Pub operator Punch Taverns PLC Tuesday announced that it had appointed Duncan Garrood as its chief executive officer, who will join the company on or before June 15.
Garrood joins Punch from MH Alshaya where he has been the president of the food division, since 2009, with broad responsibility across a retail division of 1,000 franchised outlets. Prior to that, he was commercial director at BAA PLC, the airport operator.
"He brings a great combination of strategic and operational experience within major organisations. These skills will be invaluable to Punch's future development," said Chairman Stephen Billingham in a statement.
Punch said that when Garrood joins, Billingham will revert back to the role of non-executive chairman.
