(Alliance News) - Pulsar Helium Inc on Wednesday announced the commencement of well-testing activities for its Topaz project in Minnesota.
The helium project development company based in British Columbia, Canada, said the well-testing program data is needed to prepare a resource update.
The well-testing activities are expected to occur in two sequential phases at the Jetstream 1 and Jetstream 2 appraisal wells at Pulsars's flagship Topaz project.
Pulsar is the first mover in the Topaz project and holds executive leases. The Minnesota, USA-based project is a primary helium discovery in a new helium province.
President & Chief Executive Officer Thomas Abraham-James said: "The commencement of well-testing activities at the Jetstream 1 and 2 wells at our Topaz helium project in Minnesota is a significant milestone. Flow, pressure and gas sample data will be collected and will build upon the drilling success achieved at Topaz to date."
The initial phase will focus on flow testing at the Jestream 1 and Jestream 2 appraisal wells. This phase began on Tuesday and is expected to continue over approximately four weeks.
The second phase will involve more pressure build-up monitoring, which is scheduled for the end of June.
In January, Jetstream 1 reached its total depth, which successfully penetrated the entire interpreted helium-bearing reservoir and beyond. Jetstream 2 reached its total depth at the start of February following the completion of drilling.
Pulsar shares were down by 0.1% at 26.73 pence in London on Wednesday.
