LONDON (Alliance News) - Ireland-based oil and gas explorer Providence Resources PLC on Tuesday said Pat Plunkett has been appointed as its non-executive chairman, effective from October 1.

He is currently the chairman of T5 Oil & Gas Ltd, a private firm he founded in 2013 and which is seeking to acquire oil and gas assets in Africa and the Middle East.
Providence shares were down 1.3% at 9.50 pence on Tuesday.
