LONDON (Alliance News) - Providence Resources PLC Thursday said 3D seismic surveying operations have started at the Spanish Point South licence in the northern Porcupine Basin, offshore west of the Republic of Ireland.
The surveying is due to cover an area of approximately 750 kilometres.
Spanish Point South is operated by Capricorn Ireland Ltd, a unit of Cairn Energy PLC, which holds a 38% stake in the project. Providence has a 32% stake.
Providence shares were down 0.5% to 106 pence on Thursday.
