(Alliance News) - Providence Resources PLC on Monday reported completion of a site survey at the Barryroe oil accumulation in the North Celtic Sea Basin offshore Ireland.
The survey comprised a seabed debris clearance, environmental baseline and habitat assessment survey over proposed well locations A & B in the Barryroe field within standard explorations licence 1/11.
The survey was completed ahead of schedule and under budget, due to a good performance from the survey vessel M/V Kommandor and favourable weather conditions.
As a result, the site survey over proposed well locations C & D within the Barryroe field can be carried out as part of a separate campaign.
Providence's subsidiary EXOLA DAC holds a 40% operating interest in the licence, while Lansdowne Oil & Gas holds a 10% interest.
Shares in Providence Resources were down 2.8% at 5.54 pence on Monday, while Lansdowne's shares were 0.2% higher at 1.33p in London.
