LONDON (Alliance News) - Shares in Proton Power Systems PLC were trading up 38% Monday after it announced that its HyRange Fuel Cell System had received road approval from German authorities.
This means that its Newton electric truck, which integrates the fuel cell system, can now be operated without limitation in Europe. The vehicle was tested for two years in Germany to prove its reliability.
"We are very pleased to have finalised the complex process of road approval for our HyRange system," said Chairman John Wall. "It also opens the door for the operation of such vehicles in commercial applications and demonstrates to customers that the HyRange is ready for regular operation."
Shares in the industrial fuel cells company were trading up 38% at 5.36 pence Monday morning.
