Produce Investments To Book Charges On Swancote Recall

11th Sep 2015 07:09

LONDON (Alliance News) - Fresh potato and daffodils company Produce Investments on Friday said it looks set to book charges for the financial year to June 28 due to the product recall its Swancote Foods subsidiary had to launch back in May.

In May, the company had to launch a product recall after traces of metal were found in a Swancote product.

It said it remains too early to quantify the size of the exceptional items it will have to book for the full year, but Produce said it looks set to disclose a contingent liability, the size of which it is discussing with its advisers.

Shares in Produce were down 1.5% to 166.00 pence early Friday.
