(Alliance News) - Shares in engineering firm Pressure Technologies PLC dropped sharply Wednesday after it was found guilty of health & safety breaches following a death at one of its sites in 2015.
Shares in Sheffield-based Pressure were 6.4% lower at 96.84 pence in London on Wednesday.
In June 2015, Chesterfield Special Cylinders - a subsidiary of Pressure - experienced a fatality at its site.
In March 2019, the UK Health & Safety Executive sought to prosecute Pressure Technologies under the Health & Safety at Work Act of 1974. Pressure has previously submitted a plea of not guilty, ahead of the trial starting in Sheffield on November 18.
On Wednesday, Pressure said a jury had found the firm guilty under the Health & Safety at Work Act. A sentencing hearing will take place on December 9 when penalties will also be determined.
