(Alliance News) - Engineering firm Pressure Technologies PLC said Monday the trial related to the fatal accident at one of its subsidiaries in 2015 has opened.
In June 2015, Chesterfield Special Cylinders - a subsidiary of Pressure - experienced a fatality at its site.
In March 2019, the UK Health & Safety Executive sought to prosecute Pressure Technologies under the Health & Safety at Work Act of 1974. Pressure has previously submitted a plea of not guilty, with the trial starting in Sheffield on Monday.
"A further update will be provided following the conclusion of the trial and the verdict being delivered," Pressure said in a statement.
Shares in Pressure were untraded in London on Monday morning, last quoted at 101.52 pence.
