LONDON (Alliance News) - Trinity Mirror PLC is set to announce an agreement this week to take control of Local World, the regional newspaper company, in a GBP220 million deal, The Guardian reported.
Trinity is thought to be close to to securing a deal for the business and may announce the agreement this week, the newspaper said. Local World is also owned by Daily Mail & General Trust PLC's Northcliffe Media and Iliffe News & Media.
It was created by a merger of around 100 titles owned by the three publishers in 2012.
