LONDON (Alliance News) - Richard Berliand, Man Group PLC senior independent director, is set to become the chairman of broker TP ICAP PLC, the Sky News reported on Saturday.
Sky News said the official announcement is expected "before Christmas".
Berliand will replace TP ICAP's current chairman, Rupert Robson, who joined the board in 2007 and has been chairman since 2013. TP ICAP had announced back in May that Robson planned to step down at the year-end, but the Sky News said Robson is now likely to stay on for several more months in order to ensure a smooth transition.
During a 23-year career, Berliand held senior roles at JPMorgan, including global head of prime services and global head of cash equities. He joined Man's board in 2016 and also holds directorships at pensions risk transfer specialist Rothesay Life and? is a chairman of Deutsche Boerse.
At TP ICAP, Berliand's initial task will be to complete the integration of Tullett Prebon and ICAP's voice and hybrid broking businesses, which merged at the end of 2016.
