PRESS: Thomas Cook Still Looking At Offloading Airline - Sunday Times

23rd Feb 2015 06:47

LONDON (Alliance News) - Thomas Cook Group PLC is seeking to sell its airline as part of its ongoing turnaround plans, The Sunday Times reports.

The tour operator is understood to have sounded out a number of potential buyers in recent months, the paper said, including rival carriers and private equity investors.

The plan to offload the airline arm, or place it into a joint venture with a competitor, were first floated by Harriet Green, who stepped down as chief executive in November. Peter Fankhauser, who succeeded her, is believed to be open to a deal to sell the airline, if the right deal can be found, The Sunday Times added.
