(Alliance News) - Tesco PLC, the UK's largest supermarket chain, is considering selling its Asia operations, the Times reported Monday.
The Asian grocery business, comprised of operations in Thailand and Malaysia, could be worth up to USD9 billion, the Times said.
Welwyn Garden City-based Tesco began a review of the business, the newspaper continued, following interest from elsewhere.

Tesco shares closed 2.3% higher on Friday in London at a price of 232.30 pence each.
