LONDON (Alliance News) - Standard Chartered PLC's Chairman "is weighing" a succession plan that could result in the replacement of Chief Executive Peter Sands, the Financial Times reported online on Wednesday.
According to the report, which cited three people familiar with the matter, shareholders have urged John Peace to conduct a search over the next 12 months. The FT said that both internal and external candidates would be assessed under the plans being urged. Peace may resign after a new CEO is appointed and firmly established in the role.
