PRESS: Shell To Exit New Zealand As It Sells Assets To Austria's OMV

LONDON (Alliance News) - London's largest listed firm Royal Dutch Shell PLC has ended operations in New Zealand after more than a century, the Financial Times reported on Friday.

The FT said Shell has agreed to sells its assets in New Zealand to Austrian firm OMV AG for USD578.0 million.

It is to sell the Maui oil and gas field off the North Island's west coast, which the FT said is the country's most important energy resource.
