LONDON (Alliance News) - FTSE 250-listed outsourcing company Serco Group PLC is set to appoint Roy Gardner as its new chairman as it continues to work to repair its fortunes, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday.
Gardner, the former chief executive of energy company Centrica PLC, is set to take over in July, sources told the FT. He will replace Alistair Lyons, who stepped down in November after taking responsibility for "strategic and operational missteps".
Serco is working to repair its business having posted a massive pretax loss for 2014, driven by provisions made on onerous contracts and its first fall in revenue as a listed company.
