(Alliance News) - On the Beach PLC is suing Ryanair Holdings PLC for blocking the Manchester-based online travel agent from booking flights with the Irish low-cost carrier, the Financial Times reported on Friday.
According to legal documents filed with the High Court, On he Beach has claimed that Ryanair had broken competition rules by blocking its credit cards and preventing customers from managing bookings online.
On the Beach has also claimed that Ryanair has abused its "dominant" position in market, made "false and disparaging claims" about the company and has prevented it from making a booking through Ryanair by preventing On the Beach from making an account.
