LONDON (Alliance News) - More than one quarter of nPower's domestic customers complained during 2014, resulting in nearly 1.5 million complaints being received whilst Centrica PLC's British Gas received 1.7 million complaints during the year, according to a BBC report.
Citing figures from Ofgem, the BBC said nPower received the highest number complaints in 2014 in proportion to its user base and has been the most complained-about energy company in the UK for several years, while British Gas received the most total number of complaints of any of the "Big Six" energy firms in 2014.
The other "Big Six" energy firms are EDF Energy, E.ON, SSE PLC and Scottish Power Ltd.
Centrica shares were down 0.2% at 286.90 pence Friday.
