PRESS: Lloyds To Cut 300 Jobs As Part Of 9,000 Job Retrenchment - Sky

21st Apr 2016 10:13

LONDON (Alliance News) - Lloyds Banking Group is poised to announce 300 job cuts on Thursday, Sky News reported, as part of the UK lender's three-year plan to trim 10% of its workforce.

Sky said Lloyds is set to inform staff later on Thursday that around 300 jobs are set to go, from the 9,000 earmarked under the wider restructuring.

Rivals Barclays PLC and HSBC Holdings PLC are cutting jobs as well, while Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC last week said it would close dozens of branches of NatWest and cut 600 roles.
