LONDON (Alliance News) - Keith Mills is understood to have been asked by private equity firms to spearhead a bid for Tesco PLC's Dunnhumby customer data business, Sky News reported on Monday.
Mills is thought to have been approached by a number of private equity firms to lead a bid for the unit and is set to be pitched against former Tesco chief Terry Leahy, who is leading a bid for the business on behalf of US buyout house Clayton, Dubilier & Rice.
Mills founded the Nectar customer loyalty business that's used by J Sainsbury PLC, and led the bid by London to host the 2012 Olympic Games.
