LONDON (Alliance News) - The Indian defence ministry has asked for an official probe into sales in the country by Rolls-Royce Holding PLC, the Financial Times reported late Monday.
The FT said the probe, about which Rolls-Royce has not yet been formally notified, could result in a new corruption investigation and a freeze on contracts, the FT said.
"We await clarification from the authorities in India,? Rolls-Royce said Monday, according to the FT. ?We have made clear that we will co-operate with the regulators and have been explicit that we will not tolerate misconduct of any sort.?
