LONDON (Alliance News) - Google Inc is in talks with European private equity firm Permira about making a combined offer for Tesco's customer loyalty arm Dunnhumby, Sky News reports Thursday.
Sky News' report says it is unclear whether or not Google's interest is being handled through the main corporate entity, or through another unit such as Google Capital.
Other rumoured bidders include Media Giant WPP PLC and former Tesco executive John Browett.
