LONDON (Alliance News) - GlaxoSmithKline PLC will this week name Sir Philip Hampton as its next chairman, in a move that sees him swap his role as chairman of Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC for another of the most challenging jobs in British business, the Financial Times reports Thursday.
Hampton will join the Glaxo board as a non-executive director in January and take over as chairman from Sir Christopher Gent later in the year, the FT said, citing people familiar with the matter.
