(Alliance News) - Budget airline easyJet PLC may have to cut more jobs thanks to the new UK quarantine for international arrivals, Sky News reported Monday.
In an interview with a Sky News reporter, easyJet Chief Executive Johan Lundgren said he "feared" further job losses in the company if the quarantine period is longer than expected.
"This is affecting millions of people and it's also affecting the UK vacation industry which has been a leading sector across global aviation," Lundgren said.

The 14-day quarantine for international arrivals went into effect on Monday, although major airlines like Ryanair Holdings PLC and easyJet have warned the move might hurt tourism and exports.
The UK measures also prevent the use of public transport from the airport and bans attendance at work or school while under quarantine. Failure to isolate for the two week period can result in a GBP1,000 fine.
