LONDON (Alliance News) - Juice and soft drinks maker and bottler Refresco Gerber, which works with brands Innocent Drinks and Sunny D, is considering either a UK listing or a potential sale, according to Sky News Tuesday.
Refresco Gerber's shareholders, including London-based investment company 3i Group PLC - which joined the FTSE 100 Monday following the FTSE quarterly review earlier this month - have hired investment bank JP Morgan to lead a so-called dual track process which will examine whether to sell the business or prepare for a stock market flotation, according to Sky News.
Sky News wrote that a London flotation of the business is a possibility, although some bankers believe a sale is more likely. It said an auction could value the group at more than GBP1 billion.
It said that private equity firms such as Blackstone and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts were among the likely bidders for the group, Sky News said, citing sources.
