LONDON (Alliance News) - Mark Newton-Jones, the chief executive officer of Mothercare PLC, has emerged as a contender to run Debenhams PLC, The Sunday Times reported.
Newton-Jones is understood by the newspaper to be among the final candidates to replace Michael Sharp, who has been chief executive of Debenhams since September 2011.
Ian Cheshire, who became chairman at Debenhams this month, is looking for Sharp's successor, the report said.
