LONDON (Alliance News) - Debenhams PLC's Interim Chair Terry Duddy has been shortlisted to replace Moss Bros Group PLC's Chair Debbie Hewitt, who is to step down later this year, Sky News reported on Thursday.
The website said that Duddy, a known figure in the retail sector, could join the formalwear retailer, whose latest results showed a steady performance within a struggling sector, with like-for-like sales down 0.1% in the 23 weeks to January 5.

Duddy stepped in as interim chair of the struggling department store chain at the beginning of January after "two major shareholders" of the company voted against the re-election of former chair Ian Cheshire and chief executive Sergio Bucher to the company's board at its annual general meeting.
As a result, Cheshire decided to step down from the board, while, Bucher continued in his chief executive role, but will now report to the board.
