LONDON (Alliance News) - Countrywide PLC's remuneration committee chair, Cathy Turner, is stepping down from her role at the troubled real estate company after investor backlash, Sky News reported on Wednesday.
The news website reported that Countrywide has appointed headhunters to find a replacement for Turner, after investors were left enraged by a controversial GBP20.0 million executive pay plan she proposed.
It was unclear whether she will step down as non-executive director from the board, or just from her role of chair of the remuneration committee, according to Sky News.
