LONDON (Alliance News) - BP PLC is set to brief workers in its North Sea operation later on Thursday about plans to make significant job cuts in the division, the BBC reported.
The FTSE 100-listed oil major announced a restructuring in December in response to the fall in the oil price andThursday's briefing is also expected to see it fall in line with rival operators and cut pay for contractors, the BBC said.
BP employs nearly 4,000 people in its North Sea operation, with a further 11,000 across the UK.
