LONDON (Alliance News) - BP PLC's Valhall platform in the North Sea was evacuated by helicopter on Thursday after a barge broke its anchor following a storm, Reuters reported.
A spokesman for BP, speaking to Norway's NRK Radio, said the barge was drifting towards the installation, though production continued.
The Valhall field is operated by BP and co-owned by US oil company Hess Corp.
