LONDON (Alliance News) - Barclays PLC has entered advanced talks with a Spanish bidder to sell its Portuguese banking arm, Bloomberg reports.
Bloomberg, citing three people with knowledge of the talks, said the sale would exclude Barclays' Portuguese credit card business. Bloomberg did not name the bidder, but said two of the sources cited Bankinter SA as a possible suitor.
