(Alliance News) - Construction firm Balfour Beatty PLC lost sensitive documents related to a building refurbishment plan at the London headquarters of the UK's secret intelligence service arm, the BBC reported on Friday.
The FTSE 250-listed firm is now no longer working on the refurbishment project at the MI6 building in Vauxhall, in the London Borough of Lambeth, the BBC reported.
The documents, which reportedly went missing a few weeks ago, were produced by Balfour and kept in a secure location. Although they were not classes as intelligence documents, the papers did contain sensitive details.
The BBC added that Balfour Beatty said it would not comment, because of the sensitive nature of the matter.

Shares in Balfour closed 0.2% higher ar 268.60 pence each in London on Friday.
