LONDON (Alliance News) - Anglo-South African miner Anglo American PLC is preparing plans to bring in a new finance director as it pushes on with a radical restructuring of its business, Sky News reported.
Anglo is understood to be in the early stages of a process to identify a successor to incumbent finance chief Rene Medori, who has been in the position since 2005, Sky said.
The search comes following a rough 2015 for Anglo and other listed miners. Anglo is in the process of significantly refocusing its business away from bulk commodities including coal and iron ore, plans which will involve thousands of job losses and the sale of a series of mines.
