LONDON (Alliance News) - Anheuser-Busch InBev NV is set to win conditional approval for its takeover of SABMiller PLC after agreeing to offload substantial assets in order to ease competition concerns, Reuters reported.
AB InBev, according to people familiar with the matter cited by the news agency, has managed to allay European concerns about the deal by agreeing to sell SABMiller's Corona, Grolsch and Meantime beer brands to Asahi Group Holdings Ltd.
AB InBev also agreed in April to sell SABMiller's Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia businesses.
