President Energy Moves Non-Exec Director Shepherd To Finance Chief

LONDON (Alliance News) - Oil and gas firm President Energy PLC announced Wednesday the appointment of a new finance director as well as a new non-executive director.

President has moved Non-Executive Director Rob Shepherd to finance director. Shepherd has previously served as finance chief at Dominion Petroleum Ltd.

Alexander Moody-Stuart, who recently left Schlumberger after 29 years, has joined as an independent non-executive director.

Chairman & Chief Executive Peter Levine commented: "I am pleased that Rob has agreed to step-up to an executive role on the board where he will make a necessary and more active contribution to ensuring we deliver on our future plans.

"I am highly delighted that Alex has agreed to join the board. He brings with him independence, objectivity, a wealth of knowledge and experience and a great reputation in our industry and will be an asset for President Energy and its shareholders."

Shares were down 4.5% on Wednesday at 11.34 pence each.
