Premier Oil Says Director Neil Hawkings To Step Down From Board

14th Apr 2016 06:38

LONDON (Alliance News) - Premier Oil PLC said Thursday the director of its Falkland Islands and South East Asia operations has decided to step down from the board with effect from the end of June.

Neil Hawkings will continue to work with Premier on a consultancy basis, the company said, and will continue as a member of its Executive Committee.

Premier Oil said that Independent Non-Executive Directors David Bamford and Michel Romieu will also not be standing for re-election at its upcoming annual general meeting May 11, and will stand down from the board at the close of the meeting.

"It is incumbent on us, in the current commodity price environment, to consider the appropriate size of board membership. I would like to thank David Bamford and Michel Romieu for their significant contribution to the board and the company during their service period as board members and to wish each of them well for the future," said Chairman Mike Welton in a statement.
