LONDON (Alliance News) - Premier African Minerals Ltd said Monday that plant upgrades have now been installed and are operational at the RHA Tungsten project in Zimbabwe, which it operates and holds a 49% stake in.
The plant is undergoing a phased commissioning and optimisation process to achieve anticipated recoveries and operational throughput, the multi-commodity miner said. Wolframite concentrate from ore from the underground mine has been produced, Premier African Minerals said.
Throughput of the plant will be steadily increased to the plant's design capacity of 16 tonnes per hour.
"I am pleased to report the installation of these much anticipated modifications at RHA and the commencement of the recommissioning and optimisation process," said Chief Executive Officer George Roach in a statement.
Shares in Premier African Minerals were up 7.3% at 0.725 pence Monday.
