LONDON (Alliance News) - Premaitha Health PLC on Tuesday said it has partnered with Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to provide a private non-invasive pre-natal screening test for pregnant women in the region.
Premaitha, which is behind the IONA non-invasive pre-natal test, said Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is the first centre to offer the test since the National Screening Committee in the UK said non-invasive pre-natal tests should be offered to high-risk pregnant women.
No financial details were disclosed.
"We look forward to working closely with Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to bring this safer test to expectant mothers in Leeds," said Premaitha Chief Executive Stephen Little.
Shares in Premaitha were up 0.8% to 16.12 pence on Tuesday.
