LONDON (Alliance News) - PowerHouse Energy Group PLC Thursday said that the construction and commissioning of the newly developed PHE G3-UKt waste-to-energy system is nearing completion.
The energy company said that the final 'burn in' of the reactor elements and integration of the electrical gen-set will be finalised within the next 14 to 21 days, and upon completion of this phase, active testing and gasification of various feedstocks will commence at the Brisbane facility.
Interest in the G3 unit remains high, PowerHouse said, with enquiries arriving weekly from across Europe, Asia, Australia and the US.
"Creating an elegantly simple solution for ultra-high temperature waste-to-energy is a complex engineering challenge. Our engineers have done a tremendous job of developing our G3 unit from the ground up and incorporating the philosophies of 'ease of operation' coupled with 'commercial rigor'," said Chairman Keith Allaun.
"The G3-UHt System will usher in a new era of opportunity for PowerHouse Energy Group. It's been a long climb, but I'm confident it is worth the wait," he added.
Shares in PowerHouse were trading down 5.4% at 1.49 pence Thursday morning.
