(Alliance News) - Africa-focused metal exploration company Power Metal Resources PLC on Wednesday said it has hired Edmund Shaw as a non-executive director, effective immediately.
Shaw is currently a director of wealth management firm NewPeak Capital LLP and asset manager Hutton Capital LLP. He previously served as director at investment firm Dunton Capital LLP.
As part of the terms of his appointment, he will be awarded with options of five million shares at an exercise price of 1.0 pence each, Power Metal noted.
"I am pleased to announce Ed's appointment to the board at this key time in the company's development, notably as we move into the planned drilling phase at the Molopo Farms Complex project in Botswana," said Chief Executive Paul Johnson.
Power Metal shares closed up 7.1% at 0.38p each on Wednesday in London.
