(Alliance News) - Filtration and environmental technology firm Porvair PLC on Thursday announced an acquisition in the Netherlands.
Porvair has bought industrial filtration company Dahlman Industrial Group BV, which trades as Royal Dahlman, for EUR7.8 million in cash.
In the year to December, Royal Dahlman reported revenue of EUR14.2 million, compared to Porvair's annual revenue of GBP128.8 million.
The Dutch firm is based in Maassluis and Elsloo, Porvair said, and will join Porvair's Aerospace & Industrial division. It specialises in petrochemical filtration engineering.
Porvair Chief Executive Ben Stocks said: "Royal Dahlman brings engineering expertise in petrochemical emissions control applications where regulations are expected to tighten. It also has excellent routes to market in Benelux and Northern Europe for industrial filtration through which the combined business can offer a much wider product range.
"Royal Dahlman has a strong and experienced management team who will lead the group's expansion in Europe."
Porvair shares were 3.3% higher on Thursday shortly before midday in London at 584.75 pence each.
