Polar Capital Global Financials Trust Underperforms Benchmark

LONDON (Alliance News) - Polar Capital Global Financials Trust PLC Tuesday said its undiluted net asset value per share was up 2.43% in the third quarter, while the MSCI World Financials Total Return Index (in sterling) increased by 3.16% over the period.

In a statement for the three months ended August 31, the trust said its net assets increased to GBP186.1 million from GBP184.7 million over the period.

The trust's investment objective is to generate for investors a growing dividend income together with capital appreciation. The trust aims to meet its objective investing primarily in a global portfolio consisting of listed or quoted securities issued by companies in the financials sector operating in the banking, insurance, property and other sub-sectors.
