Plus500 To Become Sponsor For Polish Football Club Legia Warsaw

10th Aug 2020 08:23

(Alliance News) - Plus500 Ltd said Monday that it has signed an agreement with Polish professional football club Legia Warsaw to become its main sponsor for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons.

As part of the agreement, the FTSE 250 contracts for difference trader's logo will be featured on the Legia Warsaw official jersey and training shirts, and Plus500 will be given access to a range of branding rights.

The contract will initially run for two years, but has an option to extend to the 2022/23 season.

Plus500 already has similar sponsorships wit Spanish football club Atletico Madrid, and the Plus500 Brumbies rugby club in Australia.

"We are delighted to be partnering with Legia Warsaw, a club with a great legacy and an excellent fan base, continuing our commitment to support professional sports and adding them to our already formidable bench of high-quality sponsorship agreements with national champions across the world," said Plus500 Chief Executive Officer David Zruia.

"Our partnership with Legia is expected to further strengthen our ability to increase our international brand recognition and grow our global customer base, as well as driving brand awareness in Poland, an important market with great potential," Zruia added.

Shares in Plus500 were down 0.2% at 1,254.00 pence on Monday in London.
