LONDON (Alliance News) - Contracts-for-difference provider Plus500 Ltd on Thursday said it has been granted an operating licence in South Africa.
The firm said its Plus500 AU Pty Ltd arm, its Australian operating subsidiary, has been granted the licence to run an online trading platform for South African customers.
The licence is effective immediately, Plus500 said.
"We are delighted to be granted this new licence in South Africa, which follows the recent additions of licences in New Zealand and Israel. This is in line with our strategy, stated in our preliminary results this week, to add new licences in order to expand our customer base globally and diversify our geographical revenue," said Asaf Elimelech, Plus500's chief executive.
