3rd Sep 2014 08:16

LONDON (Alliance News) - Plexus Holdings PLC Wednesday said it is to expand its operational headquarters in Aberdeen, Scotland via the acquisition of a new workshop and office facility adjacent to its existing site.

The oil and gas engineering services firm has paid GBP2.4 million for a new 36,000 square foot workshop and office facility adjacent to its existing 36,500 square foot site in Aberdeen.

The new property was previously occupied by US oilfield services group Baker Hughes Inc.

"We believe this investment will play an important role in our future strategy as an innovative technology-led business which is committed to making significant inroads into the global oil and gas wellhead equipment market," said Plexus Chief Executive Ben Van Bilderbeek.

Plexus shares were untraded Wednesday at 258.25 pence.
