Plaza Centers Gets Requisition For Meeting To Remove Non-Executives

21st Sep 2015 09:07

LONDON (Alliance News) - Central and Eastern Europe-focused shopping and entertainment centre property company Plaza Centers NV on Monday said it has received a notice from a major shareholder to convene a general meeting of the company to remove four non-executive directors from the board.

Elbit Ultrasound (Luxembourg) BV/Sarl, which owns a 44.9% stake in Plaza Centers, has called the meeting and proposed the removal of non-executive directors Marco Wichers, Sarig Shalhav, Shlomi Kelsi and Yoav Kfir. In addition, Elbit has proposed amending the company's articles of association to cut the size of the board to a maximum of five directors, from the current eight.

Elbit Ultrasound is controlled by Elbit Group, an Israeli holding company primarily interested in the medical devices sector, but which also owns the Radisson Blu Bucharesti complex in Romania.

Shares in Plaza Centers were untraded on Monday, having last traded at 3.00 pence.
