LONDON (Alliance News) - Plant Health Care PLC Thursday said it has signed a distribution agreement with TH Agri-Chemcials Inc for the use of the company's proprietary Harpin protein technology for application on speciality crops in the US.
Plant Health Care, a provider of novel biological products to global agriculture markets, said the deal will see TH Agri-Chemicals distribute Plant Health Care's Harpin protein under the private label brand MessengerGold. The idea is that the protein will improve plant health in the speciality crops in TH Agri-Chemical's market area, said the company.
TH Agri-Chemcials is an independent US-based corporation that supports agriculture and farming, Plant Health said.
No commercial terms in relation to the deal were revealed.
"Long term relationships like this validate that Harpin technology improves plant health in commercially grown crops. This is another step forward in growing commercial sales of Harpin," said Chief Executive Paul Schmidt.
Plant Health Care shares were up 2.8% to 129.00 pence per share on Thursday afternoon.
