Plant Health Care Gets Three New Deals For PREtec Safety Evaluation

28th Nov 2018 12:29

LONDON (Alliance News) - Plant Health Care PLC said Wednesday that three more agricultural companies have agreed to evaluate the safety of the firm's product PREtec on multiple crops.

Shares in the company were trading up 17% at 11.38 pence each.

PREtec stands for Plant Response Elicitor Technology. Its peptides "enable farmers to be more productive with lower environmental impact" as it is biological and has low levels of toxicity.

The three unnamed companies will evaluate the product on different types of crops, including soy and corn, across North America, Brazil and Argentina.

"These companies join existing evaluation partners, who are looking for novel technology that will boost yield in row crops and have a safe environmental profile while solving significant problems faced by growers today," Plant Health Care said.
